The Design Becomes Solidarity

Montbel’s participation as a Media Partner at the Venice International Film Festival, now in its 80th edition and scheduled from 30 August to 9 September, is renewed.

A historic bond was formed in 2012, overlooking the Grand Canal at the prestigious Hotel Sina Centurion Palace.
The Venice International Film Festival is the occasion for Montbel to support the Chair for Charity initiative organised by the AI.BI. Amici dei Bambini is an organisation that has been active since 1986 in favour of minors from vulnerable families.
The protagonist of this virtuous collaboration is the new Sofia armchair, presented at the Milan Furniture Fair and specially designed by Edi & Paolo Ciani to be translated into charity social projects.

Sofia will be autographed by the celebrity guests at the Festival and auctioned by testimonial Max Laudadio during the gala dinner organised by Ai.Bi., Il Bello che fa Bene, in November in Milan. The proceeds will go to support the mission of Ai.Bi., which for over thirty years has been working every day alongside abandoned children in serious family difficulties to guarantee them the right to be children.

It is a gesture of solidarity that makes the company, which has always been attentive to social issues, proud.
